MARKETING
MATERIALS Brochures,
product packaging, flyers, mailings, POP
displays, etc. require particular attention
to detail and a keen eye for design. A lot
of time and effort has been invested to ensure
the source documents look their best. You
owe it to your project to partner with a
leader in multilingual desktop publishing
who will invest an equal amount of time and
effort to make certain the multilingual documents
match or exceed the quality of the originals.
Our design and production team has gathered
years of experience in various New York advertising
agencies, and has produced localized MarCom
material for high–profile clients who expect
their localized documents to reflect the
quality of their brands and their carefully–built
corporate image. These clients are uncompromising
on quality and expect the most rigorous Quality
Assurance. LinguaGraphics' design
and production team has localized packaging
and brochures for Accenture, Apple, Adobe,
Coach, Aveda, L'Oréal, GAP, Starbucks,
Cingular, Sprint, Callaway Golf, Disney,
and Microsoft, to name a few. |

MANUALS Owner's
Manuals, User Guides, Operating Manuals and other
extensive documents represent their own unique
challenges, regularly consisting of one hundred
or more pages in length, containing highly–structured
text, and requiring the use of translation memory
and extraction/merge tools. Whether your source
files are in FrameMaker, InDesign,
or QuarkXPress, whether your target languages
include multi–byte, bi–directional, or exotic
languages, whether your FrameMaker files
contain conditional text, or whether your manuals
require an update via change log — our
engineers have extensive experience with all
aspects of the localization process, and can
recommend the most suitable strategy. We have
unparalleled expertise in the application of S–Tagger, StoryCollector, CopyFlow, Sysfilter,
and similar tools. We have tested and documented
how these tools work (or require an ingenious
work–around, or just don't work) with various
layout programs, operating systems, character
encodings, and translation memory software. Our
team has typeset and — more importantly — determined
the optimal strategy for hundreds of thousands
of pages in FrameMaker, InDesign,
and QuarkXPress, often within stringent
timelines. We have produced large manuals in
Arabic, Chinese, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Japanese,
Korean, Russian, Turkish, and Thai. We look forward
to employing our hard–won solutions to your documentation
projects. Back

ANNUAL
REPORTS Year after
year, we have been producing Annual Reports
(including Environmental Reports, Social Responsibility
Reports, Environmental Stewardship Reports,
and Codes of Business Conduct) for several
Fortune 500 companies. Target languages have
included Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, Hindi, Japanese,
Polish, Russian, Somali, and Thai. These documents
are usually 50–100 pages in length, produced
in InDesign or QuarkXPress, contain
numerous tables with financial data, and must
be completed in a semi–aggressive time
frame with the highest level of accuracy. Our
team of multilingual typesetters has developed
unique solutions to maintain the integrity of
the financial data while maximizing leveragability
of previous translations. Back

MULTI–BYTE
LANGUAGES LinguaGraphics'
Chinese, Japanese, and Korean typesetters and
Web localization engineers have been producing
projects in multi–byte languages for demanding
clients like Apple, Disney, L.L. Bean, Goldman
Sachs, and AT&T since 1996 (i.e. Quark
3.3). The exceptional expertise we have
acquired over the years, combined with our
refined techniques, have enabled us to produce
tens of thousands of document pages and numerous
Websites in multi–byte languages, using applications
like InDesign, QuarkXPress, FrameMaker, Illustrator, Photoshop,
and Flash. Back

BI–DIRECTIONAL
LANGUAGES Our
team has hands–on experience producing Arabic,
Farsi, Hebrew, and Urdu documents in QuarkXPress
Passport since 1995, and in InDesign
ME since 2002. We have successfully implemented
text extract/merge tools for Arabic, and use
both InDesign ME and InPage Professional to
produce documents in Urdu. Over the years,
while producing thousands of pages a year in
each of these languages, we have refined our
techniques in bi–directional typesetting to
such a degree that companies in the Middle
East have asked us to produce their Arabic
marketing material. Our Web Localization Engineers
have also produced several HTML– and Flash–based
Websites in Arabic, Hebrew, and Urdu. Back

WEBSITES Ranging
from localizing complex imagery for a pharmaceutical
company's Japanese website, to quick–turnaround
updates of graphical assets in Cingular's
Spanish site, or creating banners and other
images in Asian languages for GM — you
can rest assured that our Web localization
engineers know how to craft the most effective
localization strategy for coding and graphical
assets, and have seen and done it all when
it comes to overcoming the challenges inherent
to these processes. Back

FLASH The
use of rich media on the Web has never been
as prominent as it is today, as more and more
companies choose Flash to build their
online presence. When it comes to dynamic Flash localization — especially
in Asian languages — our knowledge and
expertise, always current, set us apart from our
competitors and have allowed us to help our clients
expand their global reach. Our experience and success
in this medium have allowed us to develop and effectively
implement processes for Flash localization that
have helped clients overcome challenges and
demands that can seem daunting. Over the years,
our Flash engineering team has gathered
extensive knowledge working on ads for clients
like Epson, HP, and Tektronix, producing online
training programs for McDonalds, localizing
games for Warner Brothers, Mattel, and Disney,
and launching the Flash–based site of a high–profile
fragrance in eight languages. Back
